Duties:
• Planning and controlling procurement services
• Developing a procurement plan
• Putting in place a prudent procurement system
• Providing timely technical advice to Accounting Officer, Contract Committees and Heads of Department
• Evaluating procurement requirements and recommending appropriate procedures
• Preparing periodic reports and providing secretarial services to the Contract Committees
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and working experience:
• Applicants should be Ugandans holding either of the following qualifications: An Honors Degree in Procurement/Purchasing and Supplies, BBA (Procurement option), B.Com (Procurement option) and a Masters Degree in Procurement/Purchasing and Supplies, Business Administration, Commerce. Full professional Membership to Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply [MCIPS] is a must.
• Very good working knowledge of computer applications and IFMS At least [3] years experience as a Procurement
• Officer in Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments.
Salary Scale: LF 3
Contract Period:
4 years Contract, renewable on satisfactory performance. Initially the incumbent will serve six [6] months probation.
Age: 30 years and above.
