Job Title: Senior Advisor Field Epidemioogy and Training Program (FETP)

Job Purpose:
To lead and guide the process of institutionalizing the practice of evidence-based, decision-making in public health practice in the control of HIV AIDS, TB, Malaria and other preventable diseases

Key Functions:
• Providing day-to-day leadership in coordinating program design and of implementation of Field Epidemiology training at the MOH.
• Working with and coordinating other host institutions for field attachments for training
• Participating in surveillance activities and program performance monitoring
• Identifying priority projects and opportunities for learning through in-service training for district based public health practitioners and others engaged in clinical practice
• Providing technical support to research initiatives in HIV&AIDS Care and Treatment Program
• Preparing periodic reports and submission to relevant authorities

Qualifications:
• Must possess a Medical Degree or equivalent from a recognised university
• Must possess a Master's Degree in Epidemiology or Public Health, from a recognised university
• Possession of a post graduate qualification in management, project management and management would be an added advantage
• Possession of a fellowship in HIV&AIDS is an added advantage

Experience:
• Ten (10) years as an epidemiologist at senior level

• Team work building
