Responsibilities:
• Develop and or implement an audit policy and plan according to international, national and NFA audit and accounting standards.
• Ensure that the Executive Director and Board of Directors are aware of activities which should be subjected to internal audit.
• Review and appraise the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems of internal controls and giving an opinion of findings to the management and audit committee of board or full board as the case may be.
• Appraise the relevancy, reliability and integrity of management, financial and operating data and reports

Qualification and Experience:
• Must have a B.COM (Accounting) or BBA (Accounting) degree from a reputable University
• Must posses professional qualifications in ACCA,CPA,CIA
• Must have at least 5 years experience working in an audit environment especially in a
• commercially business oriented environment three(3) of which must be at senior management level
• Should be highly computer literate

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in monitoring the business function of PEAS and reporting all material finding and preparing appropriate recommendations for corrective actions. This is achieved by reviewing the system of internal controls in order to determine whether they are adequate and to ensure the following:

3. Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
4. Avoid the appearance of conflict, all requirements of the Professional Ethics regarding conflicts of interest in employment, purchasing, and other decisions, including solicitation and acceptance of gifts and favours, and submit in a timely fashion the required annual disclosure statement regarding employment and financial

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• At least two (2) years auditing and financial reporting/compliance with IFRS experience.
• Experience in budget and financial management

• Communicates effectively in English both orally and in writing.

• Supervise internal auditors as they conduct performance and procedural audit of all office functions and projects and, when necessary participate in such audits to provide field audit leadership and appraisals.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should hold a university degree majoring in Accounting or related or full Professional accounting qualifications such ACCA, CPA or other internationally recognized accounting qualifications
• Prior auditing experience of at least five years in a recognized organization. Two of these should be at a supervisory level.
• Experience in public accounting will be an added advantage.
• Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of computerized accounting systems. Knowledge of Sun Systems and vision excel is essential
• Possess additional certification in management of United States Government funded projects
