Coordinator Corporate Planning at National Forestry Authority (NFA)

Job Title: Coordinator Corporate Planning (1 Position)

Employer: The National Forestry Authority (NFA)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and prepare business plans for internal and external clients for NFA.
Coordinate and prepare Annual Operating Plan and Budget Framework Papers.
Assess and evaluate performance of strategic, business and operating plans.
Prepare timely analytical reports using relevant information available.
Prepare project proposals in liaison with relevant internal and external NFA clients.
Coordinate implementation of strategic and business plans.
Coordinate all business planning related activities with internal and external clients.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
University Degree in Statistics or Economics
Postgraduate training in Project Planning and Management will be an added
advantage.
Three (3) years of experience in Corporate Planning and business development
Excellent financial, business acumen, strategic planning skills as well as
Organizational and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Project experience is an
added advantage.
Should be at least 30 years of age

Qualifications
A  Master’s  Degree  in Economics  ,Economics/Statistics  , or  Quantitative  Economics
At least  8 years  of  practical working experience  in the  Public  private  sector , four of which  should be  in an  energy  related  sector . In particular  , shall     have significant  experience  in policy  formulation  , financial  and economic  analysis  of energy  projects .
Ability to  analyze  economic  impacts of  policy  measures  put  in place  by  Government .
Ability  to Monitor  and evaluate  impacts  of Government  policies  and programs  in the  energy  sector .


Scope of Work
Critically  review  and analyze  the   economic  and  financial  aspects  of various  project  proposals  submitted  to the  Ministry  and advise  on the  way forward.
Analyze  the sector  the sector   policies and actions  and their  impact  on the  national  economy  as an  input  for policy  reviews
Contribute input  so that  the EMD –SWG  to  consolidate  the development  Sector  Investment  Plan .

DM and E Specialist Jobs at A & G Associate Limited in Uganda

Job Title: DM and E Specialist

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Program coordinator, will be responsible for providing technical support and leadership to establish DM and E systems, with a focus on increasing National staff capacity in this area, and a commitment to institutionalizing and nationalizing the DM and E system, development of country program strategy

Key accountabilities:

Provide leadership in the development of a DM and E strategy for the organization
Formulate program level M and Systems that inform and improve programs
Ensure a way of using M and E results to improve the quality of existing interventions
Participate in program management meetings and strategy sessions
Coordinate special studies to investigate new opportunities
Contribute to development of project logic models and log frames and M and E components in the new programs and or proposals and act as a link to the HQ New Initiatives teams
Under take the design, quality control, development and completion of assessments and evaluation

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, demography or quantitative economics or other relevant field is strongly preferred
At least 5 years of experience in impact indicators, information gathering, impact assessments and quantitative analysis
Experience in monitoring and evaluating community based programs
Familiarity with standard organization, IT applications and Statistical methods
Designing and establishing comprehensive M and E system
Impact assessment, information gathering and quantitative analysis
Strong presentation, training and communication skills
Familiarity with Micros office especially Access and or GIS is a plus
Excellent verbal and written English skills
