Responsibilities
Reporting to the business Development and  Marketing Manager, the role is to manage, strengthen and retain relationships with major institutional existing customers and to develop new business and client relationships.

Key Accountabilities
Maximize the company’s sales by scientific and ethical product promotion to attain sales targets
Identify sales and marketing opportunities in both urban and upcountry markets

Qualifications
A Bachelors degree in Biochemistry, Health Sciences, Biomedical Laboratory Technology Nursing, Marketing, Orthopedic Medicine, Pharmacy or other relevant area
Work Experience Requirement
4-6 years relevant field experience promoting pharmaceutical products
Have excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience in managing and planning key accounts business
Negotiation and persuasion skills
Ability to work in a multicultural/multidisciplinary environment
Should have high integrity
Hold a clean driving licence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a sound drug consumption record system
Develop and maintain a stock keeping system for all drugs and clinic materials in the pharmacy

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Must have at least a diploma in Pharmacy

Other Skills

Education :

Work experience.

Knowledge :
Comprehensive  knowledge and  experience  in advanced  laboratory  medicine  is required  including  a  comprehensive  knowledge of procedures  for laboratory  diagnostics laboratory  informatics  and  associated technologies .
Through  knowledge  of the  current  HIV/AIDS  national  and global  situation  is  required .
Good  working knowledge  of the principles  of laboratory   management including  strategic planning  , personal management  and forecasting  and management   of procurement  supplies  and equipment  is required .

Roles:

After  an initial  application  screening  applicants  will be  invited  to a  testing   process  that may  include  a  written  examination  and oral  interviews.
The  selected  candidate must pass pre-employment  medical  and  security  investigations  before  beginning  work  . The  initial  appointment  period  is one  year  , subject  to renewal .
Normally  candidates for  employment  are  hired  at the  first  step of the  designated per grade.  In some  instances  , candidates  may be  hired  at a  higher step  when  exceptional  qualifications  or  previous  governmental  service  and pay  level  so  warrant .

To provide overall technical leadership and strategic direction in the implementation of District Led Programming for the attainment of AIDS free Generation in the Republic of Uganda

Key Functions:
Coordinating with strategic partners in support of the HIV/AIDS National Strategic Plan, serving as a provincial liaison for the Ministry of Health Commission, and development partners in support of the Public Health response as part of the multi-sectoral HIV AIDS response.
Coordinate with other partners that support district level HIV AIDS response, aligning all efforts and resources including Human Resources in the District health system for an AIDS free Generation
Provide technical support for a broad portfolio of implementing partners, districts and facilities that provide for HIV/AIDS services
Provide technical support to research initiatives in for HIV&AIDS prevention
Adapting lessons learned from health systems strengthening programs/projects/initiatives to inform programming of the HIV/AIDS response for the attainment of an AIDS Free Generation
Working with Makaerere School of Public Health and other partners to design trainings on behalf of the Ministry of Health that will enhance district team capabilities to analyse and use data for decision-making, strategic planning, communication, coordination, quality improvement, and monitoring and evaluation.
Overseeing the implementation of Ministry of Health policies within the district health systems, drafting concept papers, reports and manuscripts supportive of the MOH strategic agenda
Monitoring and evaluation of program implementation and ensuring achievement of set targets
Preparing monthly partnerships briefings, analysis of performance of district-led programming for senior management and other government authorities for decision making

Qualifications:

Must possess a Medical Degree from a recognised university
Must possess a Masters Degree in International Health, Public Health, Business Administration (MBA), Health Services Management from a recognised university/Institution
Possession of a post graduate qualification in project planning and management or Behavior Change Communication would be an added advantage
Possession of a fellowship in HIV&AIDS or infectious diseases would be desirable
Must be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners council, current practicing licence
Possession of a post graduate qualification in project planning and management and a fellowship in HIV AIDS would be an added advantage

Experience:

Must have at least 10 years of experience as a senior health manager, five of which must have been in a managing HIV AIDS programs at District or national level
Experience in integrated Health Planning
Experience working with multiple stakeholders

Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills both oral and written
Well versed with the Uganda's National Health systems including decentralised approach (HSSIP, NHP, NHPS), current National and Global HIV&AIDS dynamics (trends, studies and best practices), country ownership initiatives and PEPFAR programming
Demonstrable knowledge and skills in managing HIV&AIDS programs
Demonstrated leadership and supervision, team work, networking with other stakeholders
Familiarity with commonly used computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Internet
